                 Meet me at the Passage

Within Your Wounds Hide Me

2/1/2022

Picture
(Intra tua vulnera absconde me)  [i]

It is just so
this flesh and no other
of the whole body or whole hand,
where nails pierce  –
you might call it circumstance,
or accident, or Providence, that spot,
where Flesh meets Cross,
but I accept.

It is just so, none other –
as if for these cells only
with wood-splinter only
the Junction is
“Thy will be done” –
Exact, precise, where certain cosmic atoms
in path or “crux” pinpoint their target –
and our redemption  [ii]
